About Us

The ARC CFBD is a multidisciplinary collaboration that fosters close partnerships between university-based researchers and industry-based research end-users to provide transformative research programs and innovative doctoral training. The Centre is made up of a multidisciplinary research team of biologists, biochemists and chemists from Monash University, The University of Sydney, and Griffith University.

Our Vision & Mission

Our overarching goal is to substantiate Fragment-Based Design as a highly valuable strategy for identifying novel ligands for a range of protein targets. We will establish a global technology network for Fragment-Based Design that will

• enable small Australian enterprises to accelerate and expand innovation,
• attract international players to invest, collaborate and co-develop, and
• produce the next generation of industry-ready, highly skilled researchers able to tackle challenges of 21^st century pharmaceutical innovation.

Infrastructure

Headquartered at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the ARC CFBD brings together key academic institutions and their state-of-the-art infrastructure; Monash Fragment Platform, Griffith University Institute for Drug Discovery, The University of Sydney Drug Discovery Initiative, with industry research partners who have clear pathways for research translation.
