Accelerating research translation
About Us
The ARC CFBD is a multidisciplinary collaboration that fosters close partnerships between university-based researchers and industry-based research end-users to provide transformative research programs and innovative doctoral training. The Centre is made up of a multidisciplinary research team of biologists, biochemists and chemists from Monash University, The University of Sydney, and Griffith University.
Our Vision & Mission
Our overarching goal is to substantiate Fragment-Based Design as a highly valuable strategy for identifying novel ligands for a range of protein targets. We will establish a global technology network for Fragment-Based Design that will
- enable small Australian enterprises to accelerate and expand innovation,
- attract international players to invest, collaborate and co-develop, and
- produce the next generation of industry-ready, highly skilled researchers able to tackle challenges of 21st century pharmaceutical innovation.
Infrastructure
Headquartered at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the ARC CFBD brings together key academic institutions and their state-of-the-art infrastructure; Monash Fragment Platform, Griffith University Institute for Drug Discovery, The University of Sydney Drug Discovery Initiative, with industry research partners who have clear pathways for research translation.
